Same damned thing exactly happened with this 09 Traverse. Check engine light and traction control went off, I did not lose power this time though. I’m just sick. 2010 GMC Acadia with approximately 98,000 miles had to replace the timing chains, cost around $2500. Sludge collecting in an UNDERSIZED OIL FEED PASSAGE can lead to oil starvation, reducing critical oil circulation to the timing chains. At 88.000 miles on it, it’s asking for the chain replace, it is ridiculous, i called GMC and they said it is not under any guarantee any more.. any law suit for the GMC i can be part of it too. I didn’t rotate it by hand again. The air conditioning system has to be recovered and lines removed from the compressor. Just purchased a used 2010 Acadia 12 days ago (2/12/2019) and same problem popped up with only 53,360 miles!! When I got it the batt was shot and the starter that I didn’t know at the time was also shot. Unfortunately I'm beyond my warranty of 5 years / 100,000 miles.
